Impact Formwork and Civils was awarded the RFC package for the new landmark of Brighton, the footbridge over Lewes Road, which will improve connectivity and walking routes between universities. Works consisted of new concrete foundations, columns, and a staircase. The construction of the reinforced concrete staircase required a complex formwork design completed by Impact to fit around the new steelwork structure in place whilst working at height.
